Three digit rainfall over West Coast

Most of the three digit rainfall has been observed over the West Coast particularly over Konkan & Goa in last 24 hours. The reason for this rainfall was a Monsoon surge that became active over Konkan & Goa region.

These rains are likely to remain active for another 48 hours. Thereafter, rainfall is expected to significantly decline along the Maharashtra coast.

In a span of 24 hours from 08:30 am on Wednesday, Harnai in Maharashtra observed the most rainfall of 165 mm, followed by Dahanu from the same state observing 131 mm rain.

Here’s a list of regions that have recorded a three digit rainfall during the similar time frame:

Monsoon surge which was weak since last many days is likely to again gain strength and will remain strong over Kerala.

Predictions are that Konkan & Goa may receive 100 plus rainfall during next 48 hours.
