Thunderstorm in Bengaluru likely during next 24 hours, dry weather thereafter

Bengaluru rains have been giving residents a sigh of relief from warm weather conditions. Since about three to four days, the city had been witnessing rains of varied intensity. Two days ago, heavy rains to the tune of 37.8 mm was observed over the garden city.

With these rains, Bengaluru managed to surpass its monthly mean which stands at a mere 18.5 mm. The last 24 hours however, were dry and rainfall activity remained on the backfoot. Temperatures on the other hand remained on the lower side only settling at 30.5 degrees Celsius resulting in comfortable weather conditions over Bengaluru.

Minimum temperatures also witnessed a drop and settled at 18.7 degrees Celsius. Both the maximum and minimum temperatures settled two degrees below the normal levels.

These rainfall activities have been attributed to the trough running from Tamil Nadu to Interior Karnataka. Isolated thunderstorm or very light rain at one or two places may occur during the next 24 hours. Sky may become partly cloudy to cloudy for a few hours as well.

Thereafter, weather is expected to clear up resulting in dry weather conditions over the city once again. Moreover, the temperatures will also witness a gradual rise in the coming days.
