The state of Maharashtra is all set to see some unseasonal rains today and tomorrow. These rainfall activities will be more over Konkan as well as Madhya Maharashtra as compared to the orher parts of the state.
Under the influence of a Cyclonic Circulation over the eascentral and Southeast Arabian Sea, a low Pressure Area has formed in the Arabian Sea. The well marked system is over East Central and adjoining Arabian Sea off Coastal Karnataka and Goa region.
Due to this weather system, the coastal parts of Maharashtra including Mumbai, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg and adjoining areas are expected to see some rains today and tomorrow. However, it is the Madhya Maharashtra region, which will see more rains including the areas of Sangli, Satara, Kolhapur, Solapur will see more rains.
On the other hand, rainfall will be less over Marathwada region, and the least rainfall activity will be seen over Vidarbha.
More rainfall activity is expected over the aforementioned areas today as compared to tomorrow, as the low pressure, which is likely to cause these rains will move away from the coast by then.
