Weather of Mathura goes mythological, moderate showers likely

Janmashtami is considered to be an auspicious festival in Hindu mythology. As per the traditions, Lord Krishna is known to be born on the eighth day of Krishna Paksha in the Rohini Nakshatra at midnight.

Hence, the name: Krishna Janmashtami. This year, this day will be celebrated as 5243rd Birth anniversary of Lord Krishna.
As said history repeats itself, this year, weather conditions over Mathura are very much similar to what it were during ‘Gopala’s’ birth.

As axis of Monsoon trough is moving towards South of Mathura. A cyclonic circulation is also seen over East Rajasthan extending up to 3.1 km above Sea Level.

Combinations of these two weather systems are expected to give a cloudy sky over Mathura. Additionally, possibilities of a few short spells over the region cannot be ruled out as well.

Day is expected to remain humid however, the night temperatures over the area is expected to witness a fall. Night may lure in some cool breeze.

As per the folklore, it was heavily raining when Lord Krishna was born and was transferred from the prison to another village by his father. Situations are conducive of paving similar weather conditions and there are possibilities of some moderate showers around night over Mathura.

Moreover, temperatures during night are also expected to remain between 26°C and 28°C.
