November 20, 2021 1:11 PM |

During the last 24 hours, light rain activities have been observed over Jaipur Ajmer in Rajasthan and Aligarh, Bareilly, Hardoi, Lucknow, Kanpur, Orai, Jhansi and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. A Light Western Disturbance was over Jammu and Kashmir and a trough was passing through the low pressure area up to Southwest Uttar Pradesh.

Humid and dry winds from the north-west were meeting the moist winds coming from the south-east. Combined with all of them, these rain activities have happened to you. By the evening of November 20, scattered rain may occur over all these parts. Light rain is also possible over West Uttar Pradesh including southern districts of Haryana.

From November 21, the rain activities will end and the speed of north-westerly winds will also increase. Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh including North Rajasthan will start recording minimum temperatures. At present, the minimum temperature in Delhi is 2 degree above normal but it may be below normal in next 3 or 4 days. Cold wave may also prevail in 1-2 districts of Haryana and North Rajasthan for example Hisar, Churu, Pilani, Sikar and Narnaul etc.

After October 24, there has not been a single strong Western Disturbance in the hill states, due to which there is no heavy snowfall. During the next one week, we do not expect any good Western Disturbance which can give heavy snowfall, hence there will be a gradual decline in the temperature over North India.
