Following this warming trend, a heat wave period commences on May 18th and lasts until the 20th, during which time you can expect temperatures ranging from moderate highs of 26-37°C to extreme highs reaching up to 42-43°C. Although there won't be any severe heat waves with daily maximums exceeding 45°C in this forecast, the heat wave period is a time when sunny skies predominate and minimal rainfall persists.
