As predicted, cloud clusters have gathered around the Delhi region. Rain and thundershowers are likely over Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and adjoining parts. There is an active western disturbance over the mountains. An induced cyclonic circulation is marked over the border areas of South Punjab, North Rajasthan and the adjoining Pakistan region. An east-west trough is extending from the circulation to West Uttar Pradesh, remaining in close proximity to Delhi. Under the combined influence of these features, the Delhi region will have rain, thundershowers and strong gusty winds during the morning and forenoon hours. A break in the weather activity is likely in the late afternoon/evening. However, the clouds will organise yet again in the late evening and night. Another spell of rain and thundershowers is quite likely towards midnight. The spillover effect will continue till tomorrow morning and the early hours of the day. The weekend ahead, 17th and 18th October, will remain mostly dry.

The day temperature will barely reach about 29°C (±1°C) today, and the night will be cool and pleasant with fleeting showers. The minimum temperature is likely to drop below 20°C yet again, as it did earlier on 12th and 13th October 2026. After the current wet spell, the weather conditions will remain fair, starting this weekend and lasting till the next one as well.
