The Champions Trophy has brought a few very surprising turns during the last few days. So much so that the cricket fans have witnessed some nail biting moments in the game. Australia has been the sufferer as rain gods continued to cast a spell on both their matches which resulted in a washout.

As far as India is concerned, the team has seen a massive win and a surprising loss this season. While the Indian Cricket Team won by manifold against arch rivals Pakistan, the same could not be repeated against the Lankans on June 8.

In the match between India and Sri Lanka on June 8, the latter won comfortably leaving India in a fix. India had been able to score 321 runs against Lanka, it wasn’t enough as the Sri Lankan team glided through the total. The pitch was a high scoring one, at least around 350 runs which means India was at least 30 runs short. It seemed like India considered Sri Lanka to be an easy target and took them slightly lightly.

Now, India will lock horns with South Africa on Sunday in a do or die match. Both India and Sri Lanka have won and lost one match, which leaves them in a very tricky position at this point.

The match is scheduled to be played at The Oval Stadium on Sunday at 3:00 PM (IST) and 10:30 AM local time.  This time, rain gods will remain far away and sunny sky conditions will be observed during most parts of the day.

This match is a do or die match for both the teams. It is the decider as to who gets to go in the Semifinals and who gets to go home from here. While we will have our fingers crossed in India’s support, it all depends on how aggressive each team turns out to be in the upcoming iconic clash.
