Rain in KolkataA cyclonic circulation is developing over west-central Bay and adjoining Andhra Pradesh coast. Initially, the weather system will remain stationery and it is expected to strengthen gradually. Skymet Weather believes that the cyclonic circulation will move in a west-northwest direction. A trough in the westerlies is also lying close to the eastern parts of the state.

Due to these weather systems, scattered rainfall activities are likely in many parts of East India.
