Rain in Rajasthan

The eastern and central parts of Rajasthan have observed light to moderate rains during the last 24 hours. These rains were due to a Cyclonic Circulation over South Pakistan and adjoining Gujarat region. As this system is expected to persist for some more time, the intensity of rains will increase. Moreover, the spread and cover of these rains will extend up to the southern districts of the state such as Kota, Jhalawar, Chittorgarh, Bundi, Udaipur, and Baran.

According to Skymet Weather, South Rajasthan will get to see light to moderate rains, while scattered showers are likely over the central parts of the state during the next 48 hours. On the contrary, the northern and western parts of the state would remain untouched by these rains and continue to experience dry weather for the next two to three days.

Further, the intensity of rains will increase significantly, particularly, over South and Southeast Rajasthan around July 3, when a Low-Pressure Area in the Bay of Bengal would move inland and come closer to Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and South Rajasthan. During this period, heavy to very heavy rains will lash many parts of the state, including the northern and northeastern districts such as Sikar, Jhunjunu and Sawai Madhopur. These areas have remained mostly dry so far.
