Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh reel under heat wave, no relief for another 2 days

Heat wave conditions have started to grip many parts of Northwest as well as Central parts of the country. In fact, severe heat wave conditions have already gripped Rajasthan and many parts of Gujarat. Moreover, both Maharashtra as well as Madhya Pradesh have also not left far behind.

Southern parts of Madhya Pradesh have been reeling under heat wave conditions. In fact, many parts are seeing above 40 degrees maximums wherein Khandwa recorded 42.1 degrees Celsius, Khargone 43 degrees, Sagar 40 degrees, Guna 40.4 degrees, Gwalior 40.6 degrees, all these temperatures are at least 4 to 6 degrees above normal amounting to conditions in these areas.

For the state of Maharashtra, all three pockets of the subdivisions of Marathwada, Madhya Maharashtra and Vidarbha has been observing heat wave conditions. For instance, yesterday, Akola recorded 42.9 degrees, Jalgaon 42.2 degrees, Wardha 42 degrees. Amravati 41.4 degrees, Chandrapur 42.3 degrees, Nagpur 41.4 degrees, Parbhani 41.4 degrees.

These conditions are expected to remain the same for at least the next 2-3 days, thereafter, there may be possibly some relief from the scorching conditions.
