During the past couple of days, the hills of North India have seen landslides, severe weather, rain, flash floods etc, particularly the Himachal Pradesh region, wreaking havoc across.
The good news is that intense weather activity will reduce today over the Jammu and Kashmir. Himachal Pradesh may get some relief tomorrow with showers being seen today.
However, for the next couple of days, Uttarakhand may see significant weather activity and no relief is likely anytime immediately.
The reason for these rainfall activities can be attributed to the western disturbance which has over the western himalayan region along with the monsoon trough which is also running in close proximity of the hills of North India.
While most parts of the hills will see relief by tomorrow, even after such rains in the mountains, water bodies keep responding after the weather conditions improve.
