In the past 24 hours, the central parts of West Uttar Pradesh have received light rain and the clouding persisted almost over the entire state throughout the day. Like for instance, Kanpur recorded 3 mm of rainfall and very light rains were seen in Lucknow, Hardoi, and Fursatganj.

The day temperature dropped significantly over the western and central parts of Uttar Pradesh with moderate fog being observed in the region. Places like Bahraich, Bareilly, Fursatganj, Aligarh, Agra, Kanpur, Pilibhit, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, and Moradabad witnessed moderate fog.

According to our meteorologists, the winds yesterday were very light and were blowing in a variable direction and they are likely to be replaced by northwesterly by today. The wind speed will strengthen gradually so now we expect mainly clear sky over the region.

The drop in night temperature will start simultaneously. The northwest and southwest parts of Uttar Pradesh may witness single-digit minimum tomorrow morning. The temperature during the daytime will be below normal. Though marginal improvement can be seen today. The winds are mainly northwesterly and will be dry and cool in nature. The feel factor of the temperature is expected to be colder.

Improvement in the weather condition in West Uttar Pradesh is expected tomorrow as the fog will be shallow at many places. A few places may, however, witness moderate fog. While misty conditions will prevail over southern and eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh. These conditions will continue for the region for next two to three days.
