In the post Monsoon season, Rayalaseema has received excess rains of 28% whereas Coastal Andhra Pradesh is deficient by 52% and Telangana by 15%.

The intermittent good rains have occurred over Rayalaseema during the last two to three days whereas rains were scattered over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Hyderabad has been receiving on and off good rains since the second half of September. Like in the past 24 hours, Hyderabad recorded 4.2 mm of rain.

If we talk about the weather system, then a Cyclonic Circulation is over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh and a Trough is extending up to Rayalaseema. Therefore, we expect moderate rains with one or two heavy spells to occur over Telangana. Meanwhile, Hyderabad may also receive one or two intense spells of rainfall today.

Tomorrow onward, rain activity will reduce over Telangana yet scattered light to moderate rain will continue until October 12.

Thereafter, there will be isolated light rain over the state, but the weather will not turn dry completely as rains of varied intensity will continue throughout the next week.

Similarly, rains over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema will be light with few moderate spells until October 12. Thereafter rain will reduce, and only then isolated light rains will be a sight over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema.

Weather Alert for Andhra Pradesh

Spell of rain and thundershower with gusty winds will affect some places of East Godavari, Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and West Godavari during the next 4-6 hours.
