Rainy Spell For Maharashtra, Heavy Rains At Few Places

Interiors of Maharashtra have witnessed mild weather activity for the last one week. Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Vidarbha have consumed part of their reserve and the seasonal surplus has dropped to low 20’s. However, the further fall may get arrested, except in Konkan, during the next one week. Rain and thundershowers with lightning storms at few places are likely between 31stAug and 04th Sep 2022. Madhya Maharashtra is expected to observe intense weather activity at many places on 31stAug and 01stSep. Parts of Vidarbha will have light to moderate intensity of rain during this period. Konkan will be least affected, including the financial capital Mumbai.

Multiple weather features are appearing over different parts of the country governing weather activity. For the state of Maharashtra, there is no direct system striking any of the subdivision, but proximity of other systems and the converging wind pattern will result the wet spell between 31stAug and 04thSep 2022.

A cyclonic circulation is marked over North Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand with an extension of trough up to South Madhya Maharashtra. Another cyclonic circulation is marked over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and neighborhood affecting interiors of Karnataka and Maharashtra. Yet another north-south trough along the west coast from Kerala to Goa with cyclonic circulation embedded in between. Such numerous systems will be influencing the weather conditions over the state of Maharashtra during this week. Caution need to be exercised for Madhya Maharashtra, all along from Jalgaon, Nandurbar, Ahmednagar, Pune, Nasik to Sangli, Satara, Sholapur and Kolhapur.

Weather conditions will ease out on 4th Sep during later half of the day and subsequent days. Another spell may visit all these parts again between 07th and 10th Sep.
