Remnant of Biparjoy to continue giving rains over Uttar Pradesh

The remnant of Biparjoy has resulted in significant rainfall activity over initially Rajasthan and thereafter even moving towards Madhya Pradesh as well as Uttar Pradesh. The remnant still persists and will now give rainfall over Uttar Pradesh.

During the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Tuesday, Bhopal recorded 45 mm of rain, Guna 38 mm, Jhansi 22 mm, Meerut 14 mm, Bareilly 18 mm, Lucknow 16 mm, Jaipur 19 mm, Churu 11 mm.

Remnant of Biparjoy will give more rains over Uttar Pradesh now as it is moving northeastward, and is currently over western parts of Uttar Pradesh. Rains will vacate Madhya Pradesh now. In addition to the cities in Uttar Pradesh that have already received rain, cities like Allahabad, Faizabad, Amethi, and Rai Bareilly will be seeing rain.

Over the next 48 hours, the system will be weakening and moving towards the foothills of Nepal and Uttar Pradesh and is likely to fill up there itself. Thus, rains will be seen today, reduced tomorrow, and further significantly reduced on June 23.
