Cities of Pune and Nashik had been seeing single-digit temperatures. However, today Nashik saw the minimum at 13 degree but Pune continues to see minimums under 10 degrees.
Maharashtra was having cold conditions across the state including Vidarbha Marathwada and Madhya Maharashtra last week. Temperatures had dropped to single digit at many places. Now, parts of the state, particularly Vidarbha and Marathwada has seen increase in minimums. Madhya Maharashtra did see a longer duration of cold conditions, however, they may see a rise for now for at least a couple of days.
After the passage of Western Disturbance, around January 15, temperatures will once again see a drop in the minimum temperatures. However, again when a fresh system arrives over the Western himalayan region, minimum temperatures will once again witness a rise.
