Cool nights, pleasant days ahead of Delhi, northwest India

Delhi recorded 15.4 degrees as minimum temperature Tuesday morning, which has been the lowest in October this year. It is almost two degrees below the month average of 17.3 degrees. Temperatures in Delhi will remain in the same range for the coming 24 to 48 hours. Thereafter, a rise of 2 to 3 degrees is expected due to change in wind conditions in northwest India.

Weather during the day in Delhi will be pleasant and comfortable due to low temperatures and humidity levels. The normal day temperature in Delhi for the month of October is 32.9 degrees whereas on Monday it recorded 30.6 degrees.

A weak Western Disturbance is expected to persist over Jammu & Kashmir after next two days. Wind conditions will change from northwesterly to easterly to increase the temperatures in northwest plains. Weather in Delhi may be partly cloudy during the period.

Delhi does not experience much rain in the winter months from October to December. Average rain for the month of October in Delhi is 17.3 mm with 2.1 number of rainy days.

East India will have clear weather during the next 24 hours. Night will be cool as minimum temperatures will record between 15-17 degrees. Day temperature will be near normal.

Minimum temperatures in central India will also be in the range of 15-17 degrees. Northerly winds affecting these regions will not allow night temperatures to increase.
