Turmeric prices ended up due to export enquires, while adverse reports of rains damaging the crop in growing areas of South India helped the buying. Spot turmeric prices at Erode market increased to Rs 7000 per quintal on receipt of upcountry orders. Merchants in North India prefer Erode variety for its price and good quality.
