April 17, 2014 12:50 PM |

Delhiites are going to enjoy the pleasant weather in Delhi for a couple of days more as rain, strong winds and clouds will keep affecting the city till Saturday. According to the latest weather update by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, northwest plains are witnessing two cyclonic circulations simultaneously. One of this circulation that lies over east Rajasthan has been in action since yesterday morning and given some rain in Delhi.

Skymet Satellite images have located the other circulation at west Rajasthan. Both these weather systems are moving in east-northeastward direction, while working with a Western Disturbance over the Western Himalayan region. These weather systems will keep the weather in Delhi partly cloudy to cloudy and increase chances of rain in the city.

According to Skymet Meteorology Division in India, the coming 2 days may witness a decent chunk of the 11.5 mm of average rain received in Delhi in the month of April.

Therefore, the day temperature that dropped to 34.2°C on Wednesday from 36.5°C on Tuesday, could fall further on Thursday. Till Saturday, the maximum temperature is expected to remain pleasant, around 33°C, while the minimum temperature in Delhi will remain in the early twenties. Moist southwesterly winds from the Arabian sea will be blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 kmph, when there is rain in the city, said Skymet Meteorology Division in its weather alert.
