A blast of westerly cold winds of up to 100 km/hr are expected to reach the South West Australia today.
A severe weather warning has been issued by the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM), and it further added that the winds are also expected to advance over the South West Capes.
It is likely that these gusts of westerly cold winds will possibly reach up to 125 km/hr. These winds are expected to be so strong and vigorous that could end up in bringing much damage to homes and property. Regions most affected during this time could include Bunbury, Busselton, Margaret River, Bridgetown and Albany.
Situation is expected to ease from around midnight, but one more cold front is projected to pass through the South West region on Saturday evening as well.
In addition, higher than normal tides will sway over coastal areas from late Saturday plus it is also probable that these tides may cause flooding in low-lying coastal areas. The bureau apparently said that this was the usual weather conditions during this time of year, but the stormy winds might make road conditions more dangerous and risky.
