No relief from blistering heat for Eastern US

July 25, 2016 3:26 PM |

US Heat

Many stations of Eastern United States will endure above average temperatures at the end of July.

Temperatures during the last part of July normally range from the middle 80 °F to near 90 °F across much of the state. It is probable that the temperatures may approach 100 °F for a day or two with some record highs being defied.

As per weatherman, temperatures are likely to reach 90°F in New York City at least this Wednesday, making it the longest heatwave for the city ever since mid-July 2013.

The nights in the towns will be pretty warm and temperature is expected to only fall into the 70°F for a few hours and will offer some hours of relief from the scorching heat.

Patchy rains and thunderstorms are also likely to raise humidity levels a little more in some locations.

High temperatures will sway from the middle 80°F to the lower to middle 90°F in Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Boston and Albany, New York.

According to a weather expert, there are signs that cooler air will attempt to build over the Upper Midwest toward the end of July and through the first part of August, but how much cool air gets to the Atlantic Seaboard during that period is uncertain at this point.
