Thunderstorm to happen during German Grand Prix

The Formula 1 German Grand Prix in Hockenheim will be witnessing heavy shower and thunderstorms over the coming weekend.

This could be the third consecutive F1 race to force drivers and spectators to contend with rain.

On 10 July, Wet weather was there the British Grand Prix resulting in many accidents which lead to the early withdrawal of drivers. The Hungarian Grand Prix even, suffered ill effects from the rain as downpours caused qualifying chaos on Saturday.

According to various media reports, four red flags and three crashes have also qualifying races as numerous downpours drenched the track.

The weather could be a major factor in the racing in Germany as a strong weather system is coming in from France through southern Germany. And on Sunday this system is threatening to scatter showers and thunderstorms.

The weatherman said, "Latest indications are that the most numerous showers and thunderstorms will stay south, but the unsettled weather could still graze Hockenheimring."

Anyone attending the event will want to be prepared for the rainfall and also heed any warnings issued by event staff in regards to the weather.
