Weather Forecast for March 17: Dry weather in Northwest Plains, Rain in South India

A trough is extending from Jharkhand to South Interior Karnataka, which will give scattered light rain over southern parts of Chhattisgarh and Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Kerala. Also, these regions will witness thundery activities at few places. With such weather conditions, temperatures are likely to scale up in Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha.

Moving to seven sister states, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Assam and adjoining areas, which will give light rain and thundershowers over Arunachal Pradesh, Upper Assam and Nagaland.

Rain in India

Up in North India, the Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir will continue to give scattered light rain and snow over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Meanwhile, northwestern plains will remain dry, with slight rise in both maximum and minimum temperatures.
