Weather Forecast for March 7: Light rain in Chennai, TN, Bangalore, Kerala

A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect Jammu and Kashmir. With this, scattered light rain and thundershowers are expected over the state. Meanwhile, the sky conditions of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand will remain partly cloudy to cloudy.

This system has induced a cyclonic circulation over Central Pakistan and adjoining Rajasthan and Haryana. Due to this, northern and western parts of Rajasthan along with adjoining parts of Haryana will witness isolated light rain activity.

Coming to Central India, a cyclonic circulation is seen over Vidarbha and adjoining areas. Also, a trough is extending from this system up to Lakshadweep across interior Karnataka and Kerala.

With these two systems, rain and thundershowers are likely over Vidarbha, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and parts of Odisha. In the meantime, scattered rains will continue over Kerala, South Interior Karnataka and parts of Tamil Nadu.

Chennai and Bangalore will also see light rain activity at some places. These rains will hinder the ongoing test match series between Australia and India in Bangalore on the fourth day.

Moving into northeastern states, rains will reduce over the region however, light showers will continue in some parts.
