March 1, 2016 5:29 PM |

Rain in RamagundamTelangana and adjoining states have been receiving scattered rain for the last couple of days.

Now, we can see a wind confluence zone developing over Central India including Maharashtra and Telangana. There is also a cyclonic circulation over Central Rajasthan. Due to these weather systems, scattered light to moderate rainfall will continue over Telangana for next 2 to 3 days.

The cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan is bringing good rain over Central and East Rajasthan along with western parts of Madhya Pradesh.

We can say that entire western parts of Central India i.e. Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, Telangana, Southwest Madhya Pradesh and parts of Rajasthan will receive rain for next 2 to 3 days. Isolated places may receive hailstorm as well.

By late night hours of March 3, few places of South Gujarat may also receive light rainfall activities. These are areas were dry for long duration but will now get rain and thundershower activities. This is not a common pattern of rainfall during this season. For instance, Ramagundam, which has received 22 mm of rain during last 24 hours, has already surpassed the monthly average of 8.3 mm of rain.
