Hand picking of the cotton is on in Karnataka where the crop is in boll opening stage. Minor incidence of pests is reported in some areas. Cotton crop is in vegetative to flowering stage in Tamil Nadu and prevailing cloudy weather and rain may pose problems of diseases and pests on the crop. Infestation at this moment is not major.
