Huge carryover stock and subdued demand conditions would keep castor prices range-bound. There is no likelihood of upside in prices in near term, according to the industry analysts. Castor spot prices hovered in the range of Rs 37,500-39,250 per tonne in major markets of Gujarat state. Gujarat is the major castor seed producing state.
