As per reports, Paddy has been sown in 19.86 lakh ha as on 23rd June 2016 almost 9.14% down from the corresponding period last year. Rice production in India is estimated at 103.36 Million tons. (Kharif and Rabi both) in 2015/16. Production in 2014/15 was 105.48 Million tons. (Kharif and Rabi both). Paddy sowing is in full swing.
