Better realization from Tur crop last year has increased sowing area of Tur this year as compared to last year in many parts of the country. In Gulbarga region of Karnataka, Cotton area may shift in Tur as preliminary reports are showing higher Tur sowing in the region. At present Tur demand is lower and stockiest are also sidelined.
