Turmeric prices were increased at Erode on fresh upcountry demand. Prices were up by Rs 200 per quintal as traders have received some fresh upcountry orders. Though medium variety turmeric arrived for sale, the traders quoted higher price. The superfine Salem Turmeric went for Rs 9,000 per quintal and medium variety Salem turmeric at Rs 8,700.
