Must Watch: NASA's Stunning 360 degree Video Of Mars

February 3, 2016 11:58 AM |

“One Small Step For Man . . .

One Giant Leap For Mankind . . .”

Neil Armstrong said this when he became the first person to step on moon. It will still be a while, around 2030s, before any human actually steps on Mars. But NASA has already made strides to ensure you reach there. At least virtually!

NASA recently released a 360 degree video on Facebook which gives you a firsthand experience on what is it like to stand on the Red Planet. The video created by stitching 57 stationary images shot by Mars Hand Lens Imager. The video was originally posted by NASA Curiosity Rover’s Facebook page. But given the fact that Mark Zuckerberg is actively involved in making virtual reality and 360 degree videos the next big thing on Facebook, he reposted the video. Zuckerberg wrote, “This is just the beginning of what we can do with virtual reality and 360 video. Pretty amazing.”

So what will be your first words when you touchdown on the Red Planet? (Virtually)
