Tropical Storm Paine is likely to bring flooding rains and thunderstorms across parts of the southwestern United States on Tuesday night.
The storm system is likely to enhance the rainfall activities over the region. By middle of the week, Tropical Storm Paine will move towards northeastern parts of United States.
However, Paine seems to have weakened now as it has reached the cooler waters near the coast of Baja California in Mexico.
Nevertheless, it will bring good amounts of rainfall right from the interiors of Southern California and much of Arizona to southeastern parts Utah and southwestern regions of Colorado.

Few spells of rainfall will be observed over Los Angeles, San Diego and Las Vegas. The worst affected regions will consist of places lying farther south and east.
We cannot rule out flash flooding due to continuous rains near Phoenix and Flagstaff in Arizona; Durango in Colorado; and Palm Springs in California.
It’s a good sign that places witnessing drought conditions will receive some rainfall but too much rain in a short span of time can lead to flash flooding.
Commuters on the roads should be cautious due to heavy rains reducing visibility conditions.
