Here are some summer pizzas you can easily cook at home.

Summer Veggie Pizza - This pizza isn't just delicious—it's budget-friendly too! At just Rs. 100 per serving, your wallet and your family will thank you. If you have dough left over, freeze it; thaw overnight in the refrigerator before use and a gamut of veggies from tomatoes, corn, capsicum, cauliflower, cabbage, mint and basil to peas and potatoes, lying unused in your fridge. If you want to stay away from the unhealthy cheese, add homemade Paneer or cottage cheese to your pizza to make it more desi.

Peach and Gorgonzola Chicken Pizza - Ditch the tomato sauce and give your pizza a makeover by topping with fresh peach slices and different varieties of cheese. A drizzle of tangy balsamic reduction will provide the perfect balance to the sweet summer fruit. You could alternatively substitute with other fruits like pineapples and blackberries. Your husband will love you for this one and kids will happily consume all the fruits they generally don’t enjoy eating much.

Three Cheese Pizza with Spinach - This one is the lightest of all. Make this white summer pizza by adding three different varieties of cheese, namely, part skim ricotta and mozzarella and romano cheese with just a light topping of spinach and some minced garlic for a wonderful flavor. And instead of the usual baked pizza, grill a thin crust pizza.. After all, grilling isn’t just for burgers and hot dogs! Wow your guests at your next house party with a thin crust spinach pizza!

Salad Pizza - Add quick-cooking chicken cutlets and refrigerated pizza dough to a mix of fresh vegetable salad for a light and lovely meal. Don’t forget to add some extra virgin olive oil to make your salad pizza lighter. Diced avocadoes, baby greens, cherry tomatoes, red onions with just a pinch of black pepper and a spoonful of wine vinegar would make an excellent and mouthwatering summer salad pizza.

Classic Margherita Pizza - Take advantage of the fresh tomatoes and basil available to you in the summer by making this simple, classic pie for the family. All you need are a few ingredients to please both kids and parents! It’s an incredibly fun way to get the kids into the kitchen when it’s time to roll out the dough and sprinkle it with toppings. You can even make smaller personal size pizzas to serve as snacks in the evening.
