Ganesh Chaturthi is a very important and major holy festival. The nation celebrates the day with great fanfare, grandeur, and enthusiasm. The festival pays homage to Lord Ganesh and marks the day of his birth. The ten-day celebration is observed with patriotic gusto, deep devotion, and love for Ganesha. Despite the monsoon showers, the cities of Mumbai and Pune become the main attractions during the festival.

Like on many previous occasions, monsoon rains are likely in Mumbai and its suburbs during the festivities. Undaunted by the seasonal feature, the spirits never get drowned, and jubilations peak through the ten-day commemorations. Ganpati Visarjan will take place on 06th September 2025, marking the climax of the festivity.

Light to moderate rain and showers are likely between 26th and 28th August. The intensity and spread will increase between 29th August and 01st September 2025, with heavy showers expected on 31st August and 01st September. A slowdown in weather activity is expected from 02nd September onward. Extremely heavy rains leading to disruption or collapse of connectivity are unlikely during this grand event.
