June 16, 2025 – Several parts of India are set to experience intense weather activity in the coming hours, as fresh alerts have been issued for multiple states including Nagaland, Coastal Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Saharanpur. Government agencies have urged residents to take necessary precautions as rainfall, thunderstorms, strong winds, and dust storms are likely in several regions.
Nagaland Braces for Heavy Rain
Intermittent spells of moderate to heavy rain and thundershowers with gusty winds are expected in many parts of Dimapur, Kiphire, Kohima, Longleng, Mokokchung, Mon, Peren, Phek, Tuensang, Wokha, and Zunheboto over the next 4–6 hours.
Coastal Karnataka to Witness Extended Rainfall
The coastal districts of Chikmagalur, Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu, Shimoga, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada are likely to experience continued moderate to heavy rain and thundershowers with gusty winds over the next 8–12 hours.
Dust Storms Loom Over Uttar Pradesh
Many parts of Uttar Pradesh are under alert for dust storms and thundershowers with strong winds ranging between 40–60 kmph. Affected districts include:

The alert remains in effect for the next 3–4 hours.
Heavy Rain Continues in Gujarat
Parts of Gujarat are set to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall accompanied by thundershowers and gusty winds over the next 18–24 hours. Districts under watch include:
Ahmedabad, Amreli, Anand, Aravalli, Bharuch, Bhavnagar, Botad, Gandhinagar, Gir Somnath, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Kheda, Mahisagar, Morbi, Navsari, Porbandar, Rajkot, Surat, Surendranagar, Vadodara, and Valsad.
Maharashtra on High Alert
Similar weather conditions are expected across Maharashtra, with intermittent spells of heavy to very heavy rain and thundershowers with strong winds forecast in several districts, including:
Ahmednagar, Kolhapur, Mumbai, Mumbai Suburban, Nashik, Palghar, Pune, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sangli, Satara, Sindhudurg, and Thane during the next 18–24 hours.
Saharanpur Weather Forecast
In Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh), partly cloudy to overcast skies are expected. The weather will remain very warm and uneasy, with a chance of dust storms and thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds within the next 24 hours.
