A Low-Pressure Area is seen over the Maldives area and a Trough is extending from South Tamil Nadu to Rayalaseema. Therefore, scattered light rains with one or two moderate spells are expected over coastal Tamil Nadu and south coastal Andhra Pradesh. Chennai may also receive one or two short spells of rain.
Isolated light rains over interior Tamil Nadu and south Kerala will be a sight. The weather over Karnataka, Telangana and most parts of Andhra Pradesh will be dry. Light rain will be seen over Coastal Tamil Nadu as well. Whereas, the weather in Bengaluru, Hyderabad will be dry.
The weather over the central parts of the country will be dry. Medium and high clouds may persist over parts of Gujarat, West Madhya Pradesh, and South Rajasthan. Due to prevailing northerly winds, temperatures of Rajasthan, Gujarat and West Madhya Pradesh may drop by one to two degrees.
In the absence of any weather system, we expect that weather over the hills of North and northwestern plains to be dry. Isolated pockets of Punjab, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh may witness dense fog during the morning hours. The minimums of western parts of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan may drop marginally.
No major drop in temperature will be seen in Delhi but in wake of light winds, the pollution levels will be in poor to very poor zone over most places with severe at few places.
Lastly, in the eastern and northeastern states of our country, we see no significant weather system.
However, easterly winds are blowing over most parts of East India. Therefore, we expect marginal increase in minimums over West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, East Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar. Moderate to shallow fog is possible over the foothills of East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar whereas dense fog will be seen in some pockets of South Assam, Meghalaya and Tripura.
