The Western Disturbance over the northern hills will bring fairly widespread rainfall over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. People visiting Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Manali during this holiday weekend could be welcomed by snowfall. Cold wave conditions are likely over few places in Punjab, Haryana and North Rajasthan. Westerly winds blowing over the region will keep dense fog at bay.
We can expect shallow to moderate fog over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Northeast India. But, weather conditions will remain mostly dry.
South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and adjoining parts of North Tamil Nadu may receive light rainfall at few places due to feeble easterly winds. Northeast Monsoon is going through a weak phase at present. Therefore, rest of Peninsular India will remain mainly dry.
Morning temperatures will remain below 5 degree Celsius over much of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and North Rajasthan. In Punjab, maximums will be below 20 while in rest of northern plains it will remain in lowers twenties. Night temperatures are below 5 degree Celsius over north Madhya Pradesh and Northwestern parts of Uttar Pradesh as well.
