Weather Forecast for Feb 9: Foggy conditions to prevail in Bihar, Jharkhand, while Odisha to see more rains

Starting from East India Cyclonic Circulation lies over the eastern part of Bangladesh and adjoining Tripura and South Assam. An upper air trough is also extending from this system up to Northwest Bay of Bengal. In the wake of these weather systems, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, and upper Assam are likely to experience light rain and thundershowers at scattered places. Meghalaya and lower Assam may also see light rain at isolated places.Similarly, the Southern parts of Odisha are also likely to receive light rain. While Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal will observe dry weather conditions with shallow to moderate fog during early morning hours.

Down South a Cyclonic Circulation lies over east-central Arabian Sean off Coastal Karnataka. In the wake of this system, Kerala and adjoining parts of Coastal Karnataka may see light rain at isolated places.Due to the merging of cold and moist winds, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Marathwada, eastern parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu may witness light rain and thundershower at a few places. While a moderate spell of rain and thundershower can also be seen at isolated places in Andhra Pradesh.

Up in the North as the Western Disturbance is moving away from the Western Himalayas, we expect dry weather to prevail in most parts of North India. However, the night will be very cold, while the day will be cool.In the plains of North India, dry and cold winds are prevailing which will keep the weather dry. The day will be comfortable due to the clear sky. The night is going to be cold. Shallow to moderate fog can also be observed at isolated places during the early morning hours.

Coming to Central India in the presence of dry northwesterly winds, the central parts of the country like Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh will observe dry weather conditions.
However, due to the merging of different winds, South Chhattisgarh and adjoining parts of the Vidarbha region in Maharashtra may see light isolated rain.
