February 24, 2016 6:18 PM |

In absence of no weather systems, clear weather with bright sunshine will prevail over entire northern hills and plains of Northwest India.

With this, we can expect day temperatures to increase further across the northwestern plains including parts of Madhya Pradesh.

Moving into the eastern parts of the country, a cyclonic circulation is prevailing over East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha region. We can see several trough extending from this system.

One trough can be seen running in east-west direction up to Bangladesh across Jharkhand and West Bengal. Another trough is extending in north-south direction up to Kerala across Telangana, Karnataka and Andhra region.

While this trough will give isolated showers only, the trough over east India will give scattered light to moderate rain and thundershowers over Odisha, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal.

Meanwhile, the cyclonic circulation over Northeast India has become less-marked. With this, rains will take back but chances of isolated showers cannot be ruled out.

Delhi will have a warm day with maximum temperatures of 31°C, while nights will be cooler at 13°C.

Mumbai and Chennai will hot and humid with day temperatures of 32°C and 33°C, respectively. Nights will have slight relief as Mumbai will settle at 20°C, while Chennai will be around 22°C.
