Spell of rain and snow approaching Northern India. The previous Western Disturbance has moved away. A fresh one is perched over North Pakistan. This will bring light to moderate rain and snow over Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh till January 8.

The induced cyclonic circulation over Rajasthan will bring cloudy skies over the plains, across Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi-NCR and West Uttar Pradesh. There are slight chances of some rain and thundershowers.

Going eastwards, we will witness dry weather conditions. But, the Northeastern states will come in for a spell of rain showers after 48 hours.
The anti-cyclone over here is keeping the weather warm over Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Day temperatures are 2 to 3°C above normal average in these states.

Morning temperatures will remain 4 to 5°C above normal in Delhi-NCR. In view of widespread clouding, day temperatures could witness a drop across the plains of North India but they will still remain in the lower twenties.

Dry weather conditions will keep temperatures slightly above normal in Peninsular India. Minimums will be lower twenties and maximums in lower thirties.
