Weather Forecast for Jun 11: Monsoon in Mumbai soon, Rain in Goa, Odisha, Karnataka, Gujarat

The Southwest Monsoon has further advanced over more parts of Konkan and Madhya Maharashtra. With this, the Northern Limit of Monsoon is now passing through Harnai, Kolhapur, Gadag, Anantpur, Nellore Agartala and Kokhrajhar.

The off-shore trough is likely to remain active along the West Coast running from Konkan and Goa. With this, moderate to heavy rains are likely to continue over parts of Konkan & Goa including Mumbai, South Gujarat, Coastal Karnataka and Kerala.

However, Northern parts of Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Interior parts of Karnataka may receive light to moderate rainfall activities including Bengaluru.

Meanwhile in the eastern side, a low pressure area continues to persist over West Central Bay off Odisha Coast. With this, we may expect scattered rainfall over coastal Andhra Pradesh, while Odisha could gear up for some heavy rains. With this, moderate to heavy rainfall are also expected over Coastal West Bengal, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. Assam, Meghalaya and Andhra Pradesh would see scattered light to moderate rainfall.

With change in the wind pattern isolated to scattered rains are also expected over Bihar, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. Isolated spells of rainfall are expected over Madhya Pradesh.

Live status of Lightning and thunderlightning-in-bengaluru

Up in North, a Western Disturbance is seen over North Jammu and Kashmir and adjoining areas, while its induced cyclonic circulation is over Central Pakistan and Punjab. This will continue to give scattered light to moderate rains over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. While, northwestern plains including Delhi will remain hot.
