Monsoon remained active over Kerala, while it was vigorous over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Goa and adjoining North Karnataka Coast.
While the rain activity is likely to reduce over Kerala, Tamil Nadu and South Karnataka, light rain and thundershowers will continue over these regions. Meanwhile, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana including Hyderabad will see increase in thunderstorm activities.
Bengaluru would see light rain and thundershowers. Also, possibilities of some light showers cannot be ruled out over Chennai.
A cyclonic circulation is likely to develop close to Mumbai coast and will strengthen gradually. So, coastal areas of Maharashtra like Goa will observe heavy rain at few places. Mumbai will too record moderate showers with isolated heavy spells.
Up in North India, a cyclonic circulation is over Central Pakistan. Besides this, westerly-southwesterly winds are likely to prevail over the region. Thus, marginal rise in temperatures are anticipated again over the northwestern plains. Light rain is also expected in few areas of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and isolated parts of Punjab, Haryana and West Uttar Pradesh. Delhi may see some thundery development.

Moving to east & northeast region, a cyclonic circulation is seen off Odisha Coast over Bay of Bengal. A trough is extending from North Uttar Pradesh up to Bay of Bengal across this circulation. With this, rain and thundershowers are expected to intensify over many parts of South Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, while isolated showers are expected over parts of East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal.

Meanwhile, northeastern states will see light to moderate rain and thundershowers over Tripura, Mizoram, and Nagaland while isolated rains are likely over Arunachal Pradesh and Assam.
