Weather Forecast for Mar 22: Rains ahead for Kerala, Karnataka, West Bengal

Beginning with North India, a Western Disturbance is moving away across East Jammu and Kashmir. Now, rain activities will reduce significantly for the day over entire North India. Isolated activity may occur in parts of East Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. Clouding will start increasing towards late evening.

Talking about East and Northeast India, where a Trough is extending from Odisha to Karnataka. Due to the anti-Cyclone over Southcentral Bay of Bengal, most parts of Odisha coast are likely to see rains with one or two moderate spells. Weather will remain dry over Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. Also, a Cyclonic Circulation lies over Meghalaya and Assam. Rains and thundershowers are likely to continue over Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, sub-Himalayan West Bengal and at some places over Assam and Meghalaya.

Talking about Central India, where the Trough has shifted further East. Dry weather is likely over most parts. Meanwhile, isolated activity is possible over South Chhattisgarh, few pockets of South Chhattisgarh and adjoining Vidarbha. Dry weather is likely over Maharashtra and West Madhya Pradesh.

Lastly in South India, where a Cyclonic Circulation lies over Karnataka. Rains and thundershowers are possible in parts of South Karnataka and Rayalaseema, adjoining parts of Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. This rain activity will be mainly short spelled associated with gusty winds.
