The Cyclonic Storm after hitting the coast has weakened and has moved northeastward and has weakened rapidly into a Deep Depression lying over southeast of Bangladesh and adjoining Tripura.The system is likely to move further northeastward and weaken gradually. The weather in Kolkata will start improving tomorrow morning onward and rain is likely to stop by the afternoon.
A Trough is extending from this system up to Arunachal Pradesh and south-central Bay of Bengal. Moderate rainfall is likely at many places of Tripura, and Mizoram. While light to moderate rain will be seen over Meghalaya, South Assam, Manipur and mainly light over rest northeast states.
The weather is likely to improve significantly over the eastern parts of the country and clouding will disappear gradually. The night temperature is expected to drop mainly over Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal and northern parts of Odisha by two to three degrees.
In southern peninsula, a Cyclonic Circulation can be seen over extreme south of Tamil Nadu and adjoining Kerala. A Trough is extending from this system up to Lakshadweep. Rain and thundershowers mainly moderate spells are expected over west of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and adjoining South Karnataka. Scattered light rain is expected over Coastal and central Karnataka. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Meanwhile in Central India, an Anti-Cyclone has developed over West Madhya Pradesh and interaction of air masses is to be seen over extreme western parts of Gujarat. Light thundershower activity is likely over central parts of Gujarat and extreme north Maharashtra. Dry weather will prevail over the rest parts of the central India.
Up in the North, the Western Disturbance has moved away, and another Western Disturbance may appear during next 48 hours. The north westerlies will strengthen in parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and adjoining West Uttar Pradesh. Dry winds to prevail over rest parts of west Uttar Pradesh. Cool and hazy morning and mainly clear sky along with comfortable morning will be experienced over most parts of northwestern plains. Isolated light rain may occur over the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir.
The pollution levels over Delhi and adjoining areas may see further marginal improvement. That’s all for now.
