IND vs NZ: Rain in Kolkata hinders match on Day 2, may spoil day 3It seems like rain gods have decided to play spoilsport in all test matches being played between India vs New Zealand. The first test match which was also India’s 500th test being played in Kanpur had also faced major interruptions as good rains occurred on Day 2.

The second test match between the Kiwis and Kohli’s boys went uninterrupted on day 1. The Indian side had won the toss and opted to bat. India scored a 318 runs in the first innings with Pujara and Rahane scoring 87 and 77 runs, respectively. Saha also scored a 54 not out which may further prove to be a game changer.

On Day 2, the first few hours in the game were dry and sunny. The New Zealand side have until now scored 85 at the loss of four wickets. However, at around 1:30, rain gods seem to have cast their spell again causing the match to go on halt.

Now, these rains are expected to take a short break. However, there may be another spell of rain in the next 2 to 3 hours which may cause some more hindrance during the match.

Day 3 is also expected to have one or two spells of rain which may play spoilsport. The spectators in Kolkata are in for some disappointment as there is likely to be some break in action.
