UP Rains Article

Till now the state of Uttar Pradesh has been witnessing dry weather conditions. Looks like, the upcoming spells are all set to break such weather conditions. As per the records, the night temperatures have risen from yesterday over the Northwest and western parts of Uttar Pradesh.

The mercury has gone up by two to three degrees over Ghaziabad, Bareilly Muzaffarnagar, Agra, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Aligarh and Meerut. Even some parts of East Uttar Pradesh like Gorakhpur and Allahabad too witnessed a marginal rise in the minimums.

The intensity of fog has also reduced, and mainly shallow fog and mist has been observed over these areas.

At present, a fresh Western Disturbance is likely to hit the Northern Himalayan region in coming 24 hours. This weather system is extending up to 9 kms as an upper air system and moving further eastwards gradually. Its induced Cyclonic Circulation is likely to form over Southwest Rajasthan. Night temperature is likely to rise further over most parts of West Uttar Pradesh and day temperatures can see a marginal rise in next 24 hours. Clouding is expected to increase over the western parts of state by January 21 and would also lead to rain and thundershower activities. The districts of West Uttar Pradesh might witness light to moderate rains with isolated heavy spells. As per Skymet Weather, hailstorm activity can also be seen over Bareilly, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar and Saharanpur. As the day will progress, the system would gradually move to the eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh, thus bringing in rains over the same. Thus, the week will start on a pretty rainy note for the entire Uttar Pradesh.
