India vs England 2021 T20

Ahmedabad will soar with the mercury reaching 40°C during the next couple of days. The rest of the 3 T-20 matches between India and England will witness excess heat and the 3rd one on 16th March will possibly be the hottest of all. Prior to this, the city had recorded the hottest day of the season so far on 06th March during the 4th and the last test match at Narendra Modi stadium. Temperature reached 38.9°C on that occasion and remains the hottest day for many other locations of the state.

1st and 2nd T-20 match was played with moderately hot conditions with day maximum temperature of about 37°C. Wind pattern will change from tomorrow to reverse direction and slow down also to raise the heat factor. The city may go on record to scale 1st 40°C of this season on 17thMarch, mercifully not on a match day. However, the maximum temperature on all the 3 days of remaining matches will stay between 38-39°C. A sharp drop of 3-4°C can be expected after the sunset before the start and sliding further down to about 28°C at the fag end of the match.

Unseasonal twist in the weather conditions is quite likely over eastern and southern parts of Gujarat on 19th March, again not on a match day. Thunderstorm activity is expected over central and southern parts including Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Gandhinagar, Anand, Valsad and Surat. Weather activity will be light and patchy and therefore no major relief is likely from the sweltering heat over most parts of the state including Ahmedabad.
