Bengaluru rains to continue for a couple of days more

The city of Bengaluru does not see a lot of rain in the month of December. In fact, the average rains for Bengaluru stand at 15 mm. In fact, this is the least rainy month for the city during the Northeast monsoon.

In the last few days, in view of Cyclone Mandous, bengaluru has recorded good rains, with the city witnessing 65 mm rains in three days' time, which is over four times its monthly mean. In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am, Bengaluru recorded 21 mm of rains, which is more than the monthly average.

Rains are expected to continue as the remnant of cyclone Mandous is there as a Cyclonic Circulation over South peninsula including South interior Karnataka. Light to moderate spells of rains will be seen today and tomorrow. Rainfall activity may slightly reduce on December 14 and getting over completely by December 15.

The maximum temperatures due to these rains have been settling at around 20-21 degrees celsius, which is 6-7 below normal levels.
