The city of Chennai has seen a decent November so far where in the Nungambakkam Observatory has recorded 85 mm of rain and the Meenambakkam Observatory has seen 91 mm of rain.
As per weathermen at Skymet, we expect good rainfall activity to continue between November 7 and 9. There is expected to be a reduction around November 10. Even further reduction is expected around November 11 after which rainfall will completely cease.
This happens to be the rainiest period for Chennai during both October and November. This time however, typical heavy rains have not been there for Chennai in both Nungambakkam and Meenambakkam.
Extremely heavy rains are not anticipated in the current rainy episode as well.
